Wish List

Fall Frenzy

As the weather dips in temperature and the air becomes crisp and cool a funny thing happens to me. I crave warm apple pie and cinnamon tea. The sun goes down much earlier in the day and is slow to rise. As I snuggle in my warm bed I dream about boots, sweaters, scarves and tights. I was taking a look on Modcloth and thought it would be great to come up with my very own wish list on items I would love to have for Fall. So here they are. Enjoy!

These style shoe would look so adorable paired with tights and a lovely dress.

This dress reminds me of the Ginkgo tree that we have in or front yard in Ohio. During the season change the Ginkgo tree will turn a lovely shade of yellow and within one day all the leaves will fall off at once, leaving a beautiful blanket of fan shaped leaves up our walkway to the house.

Stock up on your tights and leggings. Nothing looks better with tights and cute little dresses. Oh I can't wait!

Everyone knows that I'm bird crazy..... this dress would match them perfectly.

I'm so into this mustard color.... me likey.

I love love love shorts with tights. You can find them at most thrift store and just hem the bottoms to bring them up to date. Super cool when you pair then with colored tights.

Don't forget to accessorize. This cowl scarf is the perfect punch of color. Try adding something extra to you outfit with hats, jewelry, scarves and much more. Checkout these lovely pieces.

A clever little thimble necklace.

These gold fan earrings remind me of a pair that my mother owned, except hers were dangley.

Lovely tear drop earrings...they look vintage.

Oh dear this is just too cute!

You can't have too many scarves.

Every woman needs a statement piece, this is sure to stand out in a crowd.
A belt is the easiest way to bring an outfit all together.

Don't forget to cover your head.

This hat is swell because it's versatile. You can wear it in the summer of fall.

I hope you enjoyed my wish list, it was a bit lengthy. You can make up your own wish list by going through magazines and cutting out pictures of clothes that you like and that represent your style. You can keep them in a binder and pull it out whenever you need some inspiration. Tell me whats on your wish list.

XOXO

Elle Fanning, the cutest young thing to hit Hollywood since her older sister Dakota Fanning.
Turns out the little doll is not only a great actress but is a young beauty in front of the camera as well.

the sweet shop

I wanted to start blogging more about my life and what projects I've been working at work and at home.
I don't know how many people know this besides my close friends but I'm really into crochet. I mean really, really into it. I started crocheting about 3 years ago when Matt (my husband) and I moved to Austin. It was something that I always wanted to do but never actually sat down and made myself learn.
I bought a basic beginners book that was a kit that included and crochet hook, yarn, instructions for 5 different projects and stitch markers. Everything I needed to get started. It was frustrating at first but with time I learned from every mistake I made. Once you dive in you just kinda have to learn as you go. So eventually I started to learn the pattern lingo and was able to by other books and move onto more patterns. The second book I bought was a book of Amigurumi by Ana Paula. I was now obsessed with making little plush toys!

This was the book that started it all

I used to just make plush toys for myself and as gifts for my friends, then I started selling them to a local boutique. Now I'm making my own patterns and modifying and adding onto other patterns. I know have an Etsy store. Come and visit it at
