November Rain.....

It's been raining here in Austin for the last week! It's pretty odd for Austin..... it almost feels like I'm back in Ohio. I miss the sun so much! I live for the Sun. I've been crocheting a ton in preparation for The Blue Genie Art Bazaar. Opening night is this Friday and I can't believe it's so soon. Where did the time go? Tomorrow is load in day so I have to make sure all my little guys are priced and numbered with my PLU#. My PLU# is 69 by the way. Ha ha. I've been pinning a lot at night just to ease my mind. I love looking in the Humor section and laughing in bed. It's good therapy I suppose. I've also been pinning a bunch of beautiful Fall clothing too! Here are some luscious picks. Enjoy!

Everything except the chittah purse.

Love the whimsical flowy vibe of this dress.

I must have a floppy hat!

Tre' cool.
Swede ankle boots. Yesssssss!

Cut off jeans and a native inspired sweater.

The whole look!!!

Lost in the woods.

A free spirited outfit.

Just my cup of tea.

Hope you all enjoyed my favorite Pin's. Feel free to follow me on Pinterest

Your Columbus Toy Shopping Guide

Sure, there’s Amazon, and all those big box retailers out there when it comes to finding toys. But in Columbus, there is a great collection of toy-makers and quirky toy shops that have items you’ll never find at those other places. Read on a guide to the unique places you can find great toys in this city!
Big Fun, in the Short North Arts District, is a relative newcomer to Columbus. Since opening last spring, Big Fun has filled its shelves with hard-to-find vintage toys and gag-gifts. If there’s a toy from your childhood that you’re longing to get your hands back on, Big Fun can help you out. Budget at least an hour to peruse this shop full of fun finds.
big funWholly Craft north along High Street in Clintonville, is another eclectic shop, but rather than vintage goods, they’re focused on the handmade. A large children’s section includes whimsical art, clothing and a great selection of hand-made toys. Stuffed animals and wooden toys are usually in stock.
Larson’s Toys and Games on Lane Avenue specializes in educational toys. If you’re tired of TV show tie-ins, action figures and Disney princesses, this is the place for you! Whether it’s yo-yos, train sets or science kits, the kids in your life will love these toys.

All things Meow!

I've seen a ton of cute cat garb lately and thought I would pick and choose my favorite ones to share with you all. I usually come across them as I'm "pinning". Here we go... in random order.

Who wouldn't want a kittah sweater? This totally reminds me of my friend Josh from back in my college days.

A cat playing a Banjo? Yes please!

I sincerely love Tarter Sauce... AKA Grumpy Cat. I recently discovered that "Tard" has a rare form of Cat Dwarfism.

What a sweet little ring to behold.

I LMAO when I saw this....just to cute to not share.

I see a lot of cat DIY's online but this is the most clever yet.

Just couldn't resist!

I so want this cute little headband so the ears would pick out from my hair!

One of the many tights that I would love to purchase in the near future.

Cut fat cat wallpaper.

Temporary cat tattoo's by Hello Harriet. I love this girls ETSY store....more on her later!

Very interesting embroidery.

Who doesn't love Vintage cats? Just Google it..... you'll see for yourself.

Stack able kittah rings. Awwwww.

And last but not least this adorable and kinda psychotic cat sweater.

Cherrywood Art Fair 2013

I'm so proud to announce that I will be participating in the 2013 Cherrywood Art Fair! This and The Blue Genie Art Bazaar are the main reason's why I've been M.I.A. for awhile. I have been working my little fingers to the bones and am quite proud of my little stock pile. I'm like a squirrel with all his little nuts stored up for winter! Ha!! There are going to be plenty of posts to come about my amazing journey. This is the first Christmas that I'll be in two shows. Two shows! Can you believe it? In The Cherrywood Art Fair I will have my own 10x10 outdoor booth and at The Blue Genie Art Bazaar I will have a 4x8 wall. That puts a lot of pressure no a girl but not to worry because I have a wonderful handy Husbear that has been helping me through it all. It's also my first official Christmas selling as a self employed business owner! Gah! A year of firsts! It's been a crazy and interesting ride to say the least. Since I've quite my city position I've found that I'm in a "good place" right now and have even started running again. Imagine that.... the girl who was having visual distortions and seizures because she was under so much stress at work is now feeling better and happy. Who'd have thought. That's not all.... more exciting news to come! I hope all of my local peeps will find some time to make it to these shows.....There's going to be so many talented and awesome people showing and selling there..... plus I truly believe in supporting local businesses and arts. Check out the website for more details. There will be live music and yummy food trailers too! Eeeeeep! Hope to see you all there.

chick-a-dee

Hey ya'll! The good news just keeps flowin' in! A lot of things have been going on in my little corner of the world over here in Austin. I'm so happy to announce that my Taxidermy heads are now available in Wimberley, Texas! Yahoo! As some of you may already know.... the Mister and I are HUGE fans of Wimberley, Texas! We often escape Austin and venture out to Wimberley Square. Wimberley Square is a very cute and rather tiny gem that now loads of people know about.... which is good for me because I'm now selling my little guy's in chick-a-dee! I was approached by Nicole and J.D. at The Austin Flea about perhaps selling my items there. I was extremely happy because I just adore the shops there. Thus, history has been made. If your ever in Wimberley, Texas.... stop on by and see more of what chick-a-dee has to offer. There are also rows of quaint little shops and stores, eateries as well as wine tasting and live music down by the river. Check out some past posts of the Husbear and I hanging out and relaxing. Enjoy!

Wholly Craft!!!

Hey Columbus, Ohio friends and family! I'm excited to announce that Wholly Craft is now carrying my Taxidermy Heads. I've always loved Wholly Craft and growing up in Clintonville I've always stopped by to admire all the fun and interesting trinkets and treasure's they sell. I never thought that someday I would be one of the vendor's in their store! It brings a twinkle to my eye to now sell in a place where I'm proud to say I come from. I'm also really stoked to be selling elsewhere other than Texas. A place where Ma and Pa can go to and see my handy work in person. I truly adore Clintonville and can't wait to see how my little guy's do!
