Coming down from a high.....

Hi everyone! This weekend was such a blur. The Craft Riot 2nd Summer Show came and went and I'm still vibrating from the excitement of it all. My feet and back ache and I feel like I haven't slept in a week but it was truly amazing! I met so many new and interesting people. I made buddies with very talented and amazing young women. Saw and talked to tons of awesome people and scored some really cool items. I hardly had any time to document the day because it was soooo busy. There was even people lined up an hour before the doors opened. I was astonished by the turnout and the venue was super cool. As always I shared a booth with my good friend and partner in crime Jodi Hooper of Art Genius. I took some images of our lovely booth for your viewing pleasure.

Jodi and her up-cycled Legos

These two lovely ladies were our booth neighbors. On the left is Lisa Chow of  Lisa Chow art & designs and on the right is Jessica Lopez of Tiny deer Studio. These little darlings are super sweet and super talented and got most of my money that night. I'm swooning over Lisa's whimsical little illustrations which I'm proud to display in my home as well as Jessica's oh so beautiful photographs. I bought four photo's and can't wait to find a spot for them in our bedroom. These girl's were such a pleasure to meet!
I also bought some temporary tattoo's seen above. I purchased two packets the little Victorian homes. Aren't they just adorable?!
I just loved their booth! There display's were super cute.
Look at Lisa's little handkerchief's!!! Gah!
This is me on day two of the Show. The First day was intense and I sold a lot. The second day was so so for me. I still made a boat load and have tons of product left for this upcoming weekend's show
Here there be Monsters Con. The items that I didn't anticipate selling sold out. Apparently Walrus's and Squid's are very popular right now. I'm going to crank out a bunch more for the upcoming show which should be appropriate considering the advertisement poster for the show has a Kraken on it.
I totally ran out of business cards and had to order more and rush them for next weekend. I can't believe the amount of foot traffic there was. Whew!
I ended up having to put a sign up on the Crocodile stating what it was in a little word bubble. People kept thinking it was an anteater. See the reptile eyes guys? Lol.
Meet Lauren Cooke of BetaWife.  Lauren hand makes little felt banners and bunting. They are super cute and super clever! Great for parties and other events. Look at the cupcake toppers! I didn't get to chat with Lauren on the count of it being so busy and I didn't want to cramp her style....she was trying to sell goods and I'm not going to come between a crafty lady and her sales. Lol. Lauren, I totally want to chat with you when we get a chance!!
Look at her cuteness! OMG! She also has some really rad embroidery that I wanted to get my hands on!
Sharing a booth with Lauren is Ashley of Inviting letterpress boutique. I just adore her thank you cards and cute designs and saying's. I'm a big card person. I love stationary and fountain pen's etc..... I send thank you cards whenever I can (My Momma taught me well) and also have a Pen Pal. I'm also diggin' this quote by Tina Fey-
I would love to have this hanging in my house. Bitches DO get things done don't they?
Here's Ashley..... love her cardigan clips BTW. Yes, I notice these things. I wanted to hang around and chat but I had to run back to my booth and check in. Hopefully I will get a chance to purchase or trade with these lovely gals in the future.
I made my rounds to Erica of Liminal designs. Erica and I met when she attended game night at mi casa for a Craft Riot event I hosted. As a fellow crocheter we totally meshed well together right away. Erica is super sweet and talented and check this out..... she spins her own yarn. Okay Erica, stop showing off! Lol.

Look at her go! I totally snagged one of her necklaces. I love mustard yellow so of course I had to get one in that exact color. Pictures to follow.
Moving on we have sweetie pie's April Betancourt of Cresent City Couture and Cricket Burwell of
Southern REbelle. See this apron? It's mine. I loved the mushroom pattern so much I couldn't pass it up. Of course this means I may have to start cooking more. April has some awesome apron designs and the coolest fabric to go with it. She also makes pillows and coin purses etc. She's got mad skills.
Cricket's side was a hodgepodge of goodness. She has some vintage findings as well as her very clever embroidery....oh and did I mention bedazzled deer antler's? The Mister and myself found some really cool vintage dishes and sugar bowl for our kitchen. I could have spent hours in their booth looking at everything. They are very cool and very nice little ladies!
Okay April...I'm coming back to get that Star Wars pillow!
I love these cute and simple paper plane embroidery hoops.
Check out the bedazzled deer antler's. Yup, pretty cool. All in all I had a very busy and exciting two days. I'm exhausted but happy and can't wait to have more shows. I made a bunch of really cool connections and met really good folks. I'm so happy that I chose to join Austin Craft Riot. It has really helped me to come out of my shell and develop not only myself as a person but my brand. I can't wait to see where my business takes me. No time to relax, I must keep on crocheting for next weeks show......

xoxo
