I'm dreaming of more clothes for Autumn. Even though it's almost December I'm still in Fall mode. It was 78 degrees yesterday and gorgeous. I'm not ready for winter coats and hats yet. Except if it's this cute yellow, crochet hat seen below. I'm loving mustard yellow right now, well I always have but especially now since it's a lovely fall color. I can't get enough ochres, umber's and yellows. It reminds me of hot buttered Rum.... a favorite Holiday drink of mine. Nice and warm and full of flavor. Everything Pumpkin Pie! Probably because everything Festive happens in the month of November and December. Here's some outfits I threw together... all from Ruche.
Outfit #1
This would be a typical outfit that I would wear everyday. I could wear it to work and then out to dinner with some friends. I usually wear dresses so this is right up my alley... paired with some tights and boots and now we're cookin'. I got a navy blue vintage coach purse on goodwill.com that looks very similar to this bag and I could totally crochet the hat.

I'm not that into slacks but I wanna try new things and I'm loving the royal blue color. It's also nice that these are flat with no pleats. This should look better on me... more flattering since I'm a shorty. I typically wear a skinny belt with almost everything I put on and this ring is tiny and cute and shouldn't get caught in my yarn. That's really the only reason I don't wear rings... oh and the fact that I have creepy, little boy hands.

Okay, so I'm kinda scared of these pants. PLEATS!!! They could have the potential to look like
"Mom Jeans" and give me that Oh so bloated Pooch look that I try to avoid. They do look Fab in this picture but since I'm 5'2' it may go all sorts of wrong. I do love the Oxblood color though. The blouse and everything else would look A Okay.

Oh me Oh my! This is a flirty little number. I'm super comfortable showing off my legs... I've got no problem there. This is something I would wear out to a dinner date with The Mister or out on the town with the girls. I like the fact that the blazer would be covering the "unfriendly" part of my arms that I'm not fond of and the tights paired with the shorts makes me feel a little more "protected"... not so much skin. The shoes I would kill for and the bow on the blouse adds a little naughty librarian vibe to the look.

BAM! I caught your attention with this bright, red cardi. I would so wear this anywhere... to work, to brunch, shopping. This is a very versatile outfit, I can mix and match the cardi with other clothes as well as pairing the dress with a fancy jacket or a simple jean jacket and flats to chill in. I love that dresses are a
"no brainer". I don't have to think in the morning. I just pick out a dress and throw it on. Most of my clothes can be mixed and matched...that's what I try to look for when buying clothes. How many ways can I wear this? I don't mind that my shoes aren't matching my belt or that I'm wearing black and brown together. I believe there are no rules when it comes to matching... if anything being to matchy matchy is a bad thing.
Be creative and have fun, take some risks.
Now if only I had all the money in the world so I could buy everything I want that would be awesome. Usually I will look at clothes that inspire me and try to hunt down look -a -likes at Thrift stores. That's how I have to roll until this crochet gig starts paying for itself or I win the lottery.
